A local Porsche repair specialist contacted us about improving the audio system in a 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo. We arranged to have the vehicle delivered so we could disassemble it and survey what was going on with the car.
Once that was done, it was decided that we would install one of the Porsche classic radios that include touchscreen navigation, Bluetooth and a USB port. We also were tasked with installing a new center console trim plate to improve the cosmetics of the interior.
While we were working on the car, we suggested upgrading the rear speakers because they were in very poor condition. We installed a set of JL Audio C1-650x speakers in the rear side panels in place of the existing units.
As you can see in the final pictures, the new Porsche radio looks right at home in the dash. With the upgraded speakers, the sound is now noticeably better as well.
