A repeat client from Hanover, Pennsylvania, came back to Westminster Speed & Sound for a 2009 Mini Clubman lighting upgrade for his vehicle. After talking to him, we decided to use a pair of Piaa round lights, paying homage to the classic Minis of the ’60s. He already owned a set of fog lights, so we sold him a matching set of driving lights. He also supplied the bracket that mounts the lights in the center of the vehicle.
A major reason people come to WSS is our reference-standard wiring work. In our typical fashion, we created custom harnesses for the lights, securing our connections with solder and heat-shrink. We loomed and securely mounted each harness properly in place to allow for easy servicing in the future.
The fog lights are triggered by the factory switch in the dash and we installed a new switch for the driving lights. As long as the switch is on, the driving lights illuminate automatically with the high beams. This combination gives the client a wide pattern for his low beams and additional range with his high beams.
When the client picked up his Mini, he loved the installation and the attention to detail.
