Did you know that Maryland and southern Pennsylvania clients can get an Apple Watch remote car starter from Westminster Speed and Sound? That’s right: You can press a button on your Apple Watch to lock, unlock or remote start your vehicle from almost anywhere with DroneMobile. Keep reading to find out how this works.
What is DroneMobile?
DroneMobile is a smartphone interface and service that we can add to almost any remote car starter or security system we sell. It includes a cellular radio that communicates with a dedicated server to relay commands from your smartphone or watch to your vehicle. DroneMobile works just like a conventional two-way remote control but has effectively unlimited range because it uses your phone’s Internet connection.
What Can I Do with My Apple Watch?
When you launch the DroneMobile app on your Apple Watch, you can start or stop the vehicle, lock or unlock the doors or activate panic mode. Selecting the Status option will let you know whether the vehicle is locked or unlocked and whether the engine is running. It also indicates the vehicle’s battery voltage and the cellular signal strength of the DroneMobile system. If we add a temp sensor, you’ll be able to check the temperature inside your vehicle.
If you subscribe to the Premium service plan with GPS tracking, a map will show your vehicle’s location. Likewise, geofencing, curfew and over-speed alerts will be displayed on your iPhone and your Apple Watch.
System Options and Accessories
We can integrate a remote starter system with most vehicles’ power trunk or hatch release, so you can open the trunk just as you are leaving the grocery store. Two other auxiliary outputs can be controlled via DroneMobile. We can set those up to work with power sliding doors on minivans, liftgate glass release and much more. Talk to us about your vehicle, and we will let you know what options are available.
Your remote starter includes functions that can be controlled by an optional temperature sensor. These features include rear window defroster and heated seat controls. An optional security system adds a dual-stage shock sensor, a tilt sensor and an accelerometer to monitor your vehicle when you aren’t nearby. Any trigger shows up on your Apple Watch in mere seconds.
