A repeat client from Finksburg contacted our team at Westminster Speed and Sound about adding Bluetooth to his beautiful 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo. After discussing how the vehicle was equipped from the factory, we suggested our
mObridge module. He liked our suggestion, so we set time to begin working on the car.
If you are familiar with premium sound systems from European manufacturers, then you know many of them communicate over a fiber optic network known as MOST. New equipment has to be compatible with this network. mObridge products are designed from the ground up to work seamlessly in the Bose premium sound system in this Porsche. The module also comes with a high-quality Bluetooth streaming chip, so it sounds great. That is important to know because many devices use inexpensive parts that severely compress the music, making it sound lifeless and dull.
The client also gained hands-free calling with all controls done through the 911’s factory navigation system, phone or voice-controlled apps like Siri.
As you can see in the photos, the only visible item in the install is the microphone that we strategically placed near the rearview mirror and aimed at the driver. The end result for the client is the ability to safely use their phone while driving,
while the stock stereo system remains intact.
If you own a European vehicle and would like to upgrade the technology, we invite you to stop by Westminster Speed & Sound in Westminster, Maryland, or simply click HERE.
