A repeat client stopped by Westminster Speed & Sound, wanting several upgrades to his 2013 Ford F-150. Our team spent time looking over the truck and talking through different ideas. The first part of the conversation was about backing up safely since this vehicle is much bigger than his previous one, so a backup camera became our first priority. Based on how the truck was equipped, adding a replacement rearview mirror with an embedded LCD monitor made the most sense. When it came time to choose a camera, he picked our low-light model that mounts at the top of the rear license plate, centered on the truck. This camera has better resolution than most factory models and its clarity at night is unbeatable.
While we were discussing backup cameras, the topic of better reverse lighting came up, and we explained that this is a popular upgrade. We showed him a set of American Made Rigid Industries lights that we could mount under the rear bumper near the outer edges, and he loved our idea. Now, whenever he puts the F-150 in reverse, the area behind the truck is much brighter, making it a lot safer for the driver to maneuver.
While we were working on the outside of the truck, our team also installed front and rear WeatherTech mud flaps to help keep mud and debris from being kicked onto the paint by the tires. Moving to the inside of the Ford, we installed a front and rear M6 dash camera system from Momento. Having a video recording can make or break the need to prove your innocence and someone else’s guilt after an accident, and is a great idea in this day and age. It can be controlled over WiFi by a free app on your smartphone, and the HD-quality lenses make for great resolution on the video.
When the client came to pick up his truck, he was thrilled with the upgrades.
