A client from Owings Mills stopped in at Westminster Speed and Sound, looking to add some more bass to his 2018 Honda Civic stock stereo system. One of our team went out to his vehicle and sat in it so we could experience the sound for ourselves, as well as scope it out for upgrade options.
After talking through several ideas, the JBL BassProHub became the obvious choice. It combines an 11″ subwoofer with a 200 watt amplifier in a clever design that fits inside the spare tire of many vehicles. The end result is great bass improvement with zero loss of cargo carrying capacity. The client liked this solution, so we set time to begin working on the car.
As you can see in the pictures, we left the factory Honda stereo system installed in the dash. Our team expertly integrated the JBL unit into the vehicle so it worked seamlessly with the stock stereo system. These cars are famous for having noise control mics that wreak havoc on aftermarket gear, but our technicians are skilled in handling this challenge. The BassProHub looks like a factory-installed option and, as mentioned earlier, the cargo area is 100% that same as before.
