A repeat client from Littlestown, Pennsylvania, stopped by Westminster Speed and Sound, looking to have the windows tinted on their 2019 Honda Passport. Since we worked with this person in the past, we knew they wanted one of our high-performance films for their new SUV. After reviewing options, they chose our 3M Crystalline film for all the sides and rear windows.
You may be asking yourself why someone would add tint to anything behind the front doors since they already come tinted from the factory — and that is a great question. The reason to tint the factory privacy glass windows is for the heat and glare reduction that tint provides, along with protection from the sun’s damaging UV rays. In short, the factory “tint” is nothing more than colored glass, so it has no technology in it. Now this client will experience a 97% reduction in the sun’s infra-red heat and a 55% reduction in glare from the sun during the day and headlights at night. When you add in the 99% reduction in UV, the end result is a much-safer, more-comfortable vehicle to drive.
As you can see in the finished pictures, the Passport now looks classier with the new window film installed.
