A car dealer in Hanover, PA contracted us to work on a 2014 Mazda CX9. This vehicle did not come with any sort of collision avoidance technology. They wanted a backup camera and backup sensors. Not a problem for the team at WSS! We installed a high quality backup camera that was mounted on the rear license plate, and replaced the rear view mirror with one that had a 3.5″ monitor in it. We then installed backup sensors in the rear bumper. This is a great convenience package for any vehicle. As soon as the Mazda is shifted into reverse, both units turn on automatically. The sensors will beep one time, letting you know they are active, and the monitor in the rear view mirror turn on instantly showing a very clear 170 degree wide angle image of what’s behind the vehicle. The sensors emit beeps that become more rapid as you approach an obstacle, going to a solid tone when danger is eminent. This car dealer knew they could trust us with this brand new vehicle, and they were extremely happy with the project after completion. They will continue to use us for upgrades to their new and used cars in the future!
