A client from Hanover, Pennsylvania, contacted Westminster Speed and Sound about installing a backup camera in the factory color screen of her 2017 Mazda Miata. After spending time getting to know her needs, we suggested a NavTV camera that would install and operate very much like a factory-installed unit. She liked our proposal, so we set time to begin the work.
On the day the MX5 arrived, we performed our detailed check-in procedure to make sure everything was working properly on the vehicle. Our team also installed protective coverings on the seats, floor and steering wheel. At the end of the installation, we used another detailed form to confirm everything was still in perfect order.
The camera itself gets installed right above the rear license plate, centered on the Miata. As you can see in the finished pictures, whenever the vehicle is placed in reverse, the camera image is displayed on the factory color screen in the dash.
When the client came to pick up the car, she was thrilled with the fit and finish of our work, as well as the picture quality of the image itself.
