A client from Catonsville contacted Westminster Speed and Sound about adding a hitch to their 2020 Ford Escape. One of our team did a phone consultation with the client to go over how he was going to use the hitch. After talking through different options, we sent over a proposal that the client approved. At that point, we ordered the product and set a time to perform the installation.
On the day of the work, our technician performed a detailed check-in and check-out procedure to ensure everything was working properly when the vehicle arrived and when it left. Once that was done, we set about installing the new products.
We installed a Curt 13454 hitch, along with a four-pin wiring harness that could handle trailer lighting in the event that the client would be towing a small unit.
As you can see in the final pictures, the hitch looks like a factory-installed option. The trailer wiring harness gets stored underneath the false floor in the cargo area, keeping a cleaner look on the exterior of this Escape. It has sufficient length to easily connect to a trailer should the need arise.
When the client came to pick up this Ford, he was very pleased with our workmanship, and that always makes our day.
