A client from the Baltimore area contacted us about adding 3M Paint Protection film to his beautiful 2019 Chevy Camaro SS. One of our employees consulted with him, and it was decided that he would like our full front-end protection package. It includes the front bumper, along with full coverage of the hood and front fenders. It also gets coverage for the leading edge of the side mirrors. In the pictures, you can see the work in progress as well as the finished look after the vehicle was completed.

The film itself is a clear, 8-millimeter-thick urethane designed to help prevent rock and stone chips, swirl marks and scratches, and damage from bird droppings and sap.
Is it possible to damage the installed film? Absolutely. The upside is that the film is more durable than paint, and if the film gets damaged but the paint underneath is fine, that is also a bonus. The reason is that it is much cheaper to replace the film than to repaint a hood, for example.
