Paint Protection Film Upgrade for Finksburg Tesla Model 3

A client from down in Finksburg recently contacted Westminster Speed and Sound to inquire about installing 3M Paint Protection Film on his 2021 Tesla Model 3. With no significant front grille on the car, the client wanted a solution that would help prevent chips in the paint from stones and gravel. After inspecting the vehicle and talking about where and how he drives the car, we put together a package to help maintain this amazing electric vehicle’s value.

To provide the most protection possible to the front of the Model 3, the client chose to have us apply the film to the hood, front bumper, both front fenders, front covers on the side-view mirrors and the headlights. While our team washed and prepared the vehicle for installation, our computer-controlled film plotter set to work cutting the film to fit the car. We always use our plotter instead of cutting film on the car so that we never have to bring a knife near the paintwork. While our installation technicians are careful, taking no risks guarantees there won’t be any accidents. We placed each piece of film on the vehicle, then manipulated it to fit the curves and contours perfectly before squeegeeing out the slip agent and locking it in place.

We used 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film Pro 4.0 on this Model 3. This urethane film has a thickness of 8 mils to absorb impacts from debris while driving. The film also prevents damage from bug splatter and road tar that could otherwise leave dark spots in the paint if not washed off. If someone does happen to brush up against the front bumper or fender, the film’s self-healing properties will absorb minor scuffs and scratches, so the vehicle continues to look pristine for years.

After a full day’s work, we had this Pearl White Tesla Model 3 paint protection solution installed, and it was time for the client to return to Westminster Speed and Sound to pick up his vehicle.
