A client from Stewartstown recently contacted the motorcycle audio upgrade experts at Westminster Speed and Sound to consult on upgrading the stereo in his 2012 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic. The bike had been previously upgraded with an amp and speakers. Unfortunately, although the amp and speakers were from a name brand, they were entry-level solutions, and the wiring was quite disorganized. After talking with the client about his expectations, we put together a system that includes ARC Audio and Rockford Fosgate speakers and a Rockford Fosgate amplifier to bring his music to life.
Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Speaker Upgrade
After removing the existing amp, speakers and wiring, our team started installing a set of ARC Audio Moto 602 speakers. These powersports-specific speakers feature a completely weather-resistant cone and tweeter assembly. Best of all, they sound excellent, even at extremely high volume levels. For rear speakers, we installed a set of Rockford Fosgate TMS5 speakers in the Tour-Pak locations.
Motorcycle Audio Systems Need Power
Great motorcycle speakers aren’t much use if they don’t get the power they need to play loudly. So the owner of this cool Ultra Classic chose one of the Rockford Fosgate TM400X4ad four-channel amplifiers to power the system. This amplifier can produce up to 100 watts of power to each of the four speakers on the bike. We mounted the amplifier above the radio in the front fairing and secured all the wiring.

The client was thrilled with the upgrade as it was clear and detailed, even when loud.
