Westminster Speed and Sound is proud to offer the new Rydeen BSS-ONE single-sensor blind spot detection system. This universal monitor solution is designed to alert the driver when another vehicle is in an adjacent lane to prevent an accident. Having the BSS-ONE in your vehicle is like having a pair of co-pilots watching everything happening alongside and behind your car or SUV as you drive.
Features of the Rydeen BSS-ONE
The new BSS-ONE is a lane change decision aid system. If a vehicle is in an adjacent lane, an A-pillar-mounted LED indicator on that side of your dash will illuminate to let you know it’s not safe to change lanes. This is called blind spot detection. If you activate your turn signal to move into that lane when a vehicle is beside or just behind yours, the LED indicator will blink and a buzzer will sound to get your attention immediately. The full Level II warning feature is called a lane change alert.
The microwave monitoring field covers an area between 1.5 and 7 feet on either side of your car or truck and extends rearward almost 100 feet. This impressive range gives you extended warning time if your vehicle is being overtaken.
The system uses automatic speed detection to activate the monitoring feature. Alerts are only provided once you’re traveling at 13 mph or faster. This feature prevents unnecessary warnings and alerts when maneuvering into a parking space, in a drive-thru or at an intersection.
Expert Installation Ensures Reliable Performance
Our technicians mount the microwave detection module behind the plastic bumper cover on the rear of your vehicle, and all the wiring is routed along existing pathways to ensure that it’s secure and safe. Once installed, everything is invisible from the exterior of the vehicle. Our technicians will consult with each client to choose an LED indicator mounting location that’s easy to see.
