If you own a 2014 through 2018 GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or a 2015 through 2019 Sierra or Silverado 2500 or 3500 and are looking for an amazing radio upgrade, drop into Westminster Speed and Sound near Baltimore and check out the Stinger Heigh10. This fantastic multimedia receiver includes a 10-inch floating-face touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and all the media playback features you could ever want. Best of all, when installed with the Stinger SRK-GM14H, the radio becomes an integral part of your dash and looks just like it came from the factory.
Big-Screen Radio Interface
As soon as you see the face of the Heigh10, the 10-inch capacitive-touch color display will grab your attention. The display has a resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels and can display 16.7 million colors. The anti-glare coating helps ensure that it’s easy to see, even in bright light. Whether you’re using Waze, Google Maps or the optional iGo navigation software, seeing where you’re going doesn’t get any easier. The rotary volume control knob at the base of the screen makes it easy to adjust the volume without taking your eyes off the road. Stinger has also included mechanical Track and Seek buttons along with Home and voice activation controls.
Multimedia at Your Fingertips
Stinger has equipped the Heigh10 with all the popular source options. It includes an AM/FM receiver with PTY/RT information display, as well as a pair of USB ports to connect an iPod or iPhone as a music source or use a USB memory stick with multimedia files. The radio supports MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, AAC and M4A audio file formats along with QuickTime, MPEG-4, Microsoft AVI, MPG and MPEG Video 1/2, VOB DVD and Flash video files. In addition, the USB ports can provide up to 3 amps of charging current to quickly top up your smartphone’s battery.
You can stream audio to the Heigh10 using Bluetooth from a portable media player or an older smartphone. If you want higher quality, the aptX codec is supported on Android-based devices. The Heigh10 can be upgraded with the SXV300 SiriusXM satellite radio tuner module for coast-to-coast genre-specific music. If you want to connect an external multimedia source, there’s an HDMI input and a composite video input with stereo audio. Even the dedicated rear vision camera input has an audio connection to add a backup camera with a microphone. Speaking of camera inputs, the Heigh10 has four of them, so the radio will work with forward-facing and blind-spot monitoring cameras so that you can see everything around your vehicle.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Included
Of course, a modern radio upgrade is only complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Plug your phone into one of the USB jacks, and you can use these voice recognition features to make phone calls and dictate and send text messages. In addition, you can choose from dozens of streaming audio sources such as Pandora, Spotify, iHeart, Tidal, YouTube Music or Audiobooks.com.
Of course, navigation applications such as Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps are available to provide detailed turn-by-turn navigation instructions to any address, business or landmark in North America. All the routing includes real-time traffic information in major cities, so you can avoid construction, accidents and congestion when possible.
The Heart of a Premium Car Audio System
With the Heigh10’s 4-by-16-watt built-in amplifier, it’s got all the connections we need to make it the heart of an elaborate entertainment system. The radio includes front, rear and subwoofer outputs rated to produce up to 4 volts. There’s even a variable volume Toslink output that we can connect directly to a signal processor with a fiber optic cable.
The radio includes a 15-band graphic equalizer with six presets and adjustable high- and low-pass crossovers for the powered and preamp outputs. There’s even a signal delay menu that allows us to time-align the output of each speaker in your vehicle to deliver a fantastic listening experience.
The SRK-GM14H integration kit features the new PAC-LINK interface to communicate with your General Motors Truck computers. You can access the climate control screens, see if the doors are open and monitor the drivetrain and even get safety alerts from parking and tire pressure sensors
The SRK-GM14H kit includes a mounting bracket that integrates the amazing 10-inch screen into the dash. Even the finish on the trim panel has been selected to make it look like the rest of the dash. A PAC RadioPro interface is included to ensure perfect connectivity with your factory-installed speakers and the wiring in the vehicle. The system works with the radio control buttons on your steering wheel, just like the factory radio. We don’t need to modify a single wire in your Jeep permanently, so the Heigh10 is perfect for leased vehicles!
