The owner of this monster 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 dually recently contacted the team at Westminster Speed and Sound to inquire about a rear-seat video entertainment system. The client wanted a way to keep his children entertained on long trips. A member of our sales team inspected the vehicle and proposed a custom color-matched headrest video system from Audiovox. The client loved the plan and gave us the go-ahead to schedule an appointment for the installation.
Chevy Silverado Rear Seat Video System
The Audiovox headrest video system we ordered for the Silverado includes a pair of 8-inch touchscreen displays and integrated DVD players. Each headrest will also play digital media files from a USB memory stick. The displays can be tilted to make viewing easier for shorter passengers, and each screen comes with a set of wireless headphones. The kids can listen to the audio from their favorite videos in peace.
Vehicle-Specific Custom Upholstery
What separates the Audiovox headrest system from the rest of the options on the market is the ability for the devices to be upholstered in the same material as the rest of the seats. We ordered these headrests with the same rich brown leather and tan piping as the original units. General Motors calls these colors Mink and Shale.
As you can see from the photos, our team of technicians concealed all the wiring for the headrests for a clean and tidy installation. We also added a USB and HDMI port to the center console so that it’s easy to connect a memory stick or an external video source.
WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors
The client asked us to source and install a set of side window deflectors to allow the windows to be vented without the fear of rain getting into the vehicle. We ordered a set of WeatherTech custom-fit, in-channel deflectors, and our technicians installed them on the vehicle. The in-channel design of these deflectors provides a sleek look and helps maintain the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The durable acrylic glazing material, approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation, ensures that these deflectors will look great for years and years.
