A client from Crofton recently contacted the team at Westminster Speed and Sound to inquire about window tint, paint protection film and a remote starter for his 2019 Toyota Tundra. The client chose his Tundra with the awesome Smoked Mesquite paint and wanted to protect it from stone chips. He wanted the window tint and starter to make the truck more comfortable. After talking with the client and discussing where and how he’d use the starter system, and how dark he wanted the tint, we put together a quote to enhance this impressive pickup truck.
3M Paint Protection Film Adds Value
We started with the installation of 3M Scotchgard Pro 4.0 paint protection film. The client asked for protection on the leading part of the hood, the front bumper, the fenders and the headlights. Our team washed the truck and used a degreaser to remove any residue from the paint surface that might affect film adhesion. After cutting the film on our computer-controlled plotter, our team installed it on the vehicle, using a slip agent to position it perfectly before applying a tack solution that activates the adhesive.
Window Tinting Keeps Your Vehicle Cool
The client wanted to tint the front windows of the truck to enhance its appearance and reduce the heating effects of IR energy inside the vehicle. We used Geoshield Dark Matter nanoceramic film in a 35% shade. The DM35 film blocks up 62% of the sun’s heat energy and 99% of its UV rays. To provide additional protection, we used 3M Crystalline CR70 film on the windshield. The film is light enough that it won’t make driving at night difficult while blocking 50% of the total solar energy to keep the cab cool.
Toyota Tundra Remote Starter
The client chose the Compustar Prime R3 2WR3-FM one-button remote solution for the car starter. Our expert technicians completed the integration of the control module into the factory wiring, ensuring that each electrical connection was mechanically and electrically secure. The one-button remotes in this kit provide up to 3,000 feet of range, and the LEDs on the remote blink to let the client know when a command from the remote has been executed at the vehicle.
