A client from Baltimore, Maryland came to Westminster Speed & Sound looking for smartphone integration in his 2005 Infiniti G35. When this car was built over a decade ago, things like iPhones and Android phones were still in the future. And when you factor in the lack of USB ports, this sound system needed some modern connectivity help.
Now, anyone that owns a G35 knows that the stereo system and heater controls are all integrated into the dash. And they are also known to have issues with the heater controls going bad over time. The good news is that getting a new stereo system from us solves both problems. Our installation kit includes all new controls for the heating system, breathing new life into worn out buttons. And as you can see in the pictures, our Sony XAV-68BT looks factory installed in the dash. The client gained Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless music streaming. A USB port is conveniently positioned on the front of the unit, allowing control of all of his digital media. Pandora Internet Radio control is another popular feature set of this stereo, and he has the option of adding a backup camera in the future, should he so desire. Almost all of the functions are done via the touchscreen display, and it integrates seamlessly with the steering wheel mounted audio controls.
While we had the vehicle, we installed our Raven window tint on it to complete the blacked out look of the exterior.
When you decide you would like to add smartphone integration to your vehicle, or get your windows tinted, we invite you to stop by Westminster Speed & Sound. One of our award-winning staff will work one on one with you to design and install the products that best fit your needs.
